š² Maltaās situation with the Chalcedeans isnāt that great.

š² That city Tintaglia went to⦠is that the same one Fitz visited in Assassinās Quest? I donāt pay much attention to descriptions of places but those wide streets made for dragons sound familiar to me, but I guess there could be more of those cities. š² EXCUSE ME! DID VIVACIA JUST DIE? WEāVE BARELY STARTED THIS BOOK! But now the ādeadā dragon has taken over? That shouldnāt matter much to Kennit, maybe itās even an advantage for him since he no longer needs Wintrow and an angry dragon probably shares his sensibilities more than Vivacia did. Sheās leading by example in a way Serilla never would have done. Then you have Ronica at their meeting hall, just starting to clean it up without anyone else there and that inspires the rest of the traders to do the same. Serilla planned to go among the people, who she expected to be in full swing repairing their homes, so she could praise them for it and earn some cheap points. I noticed an interesting contrast between her and Ronica in how they go about rebuilding the town. š² I LOVE that whole political game thatās going on in Bingtown! Serilla isnāt just one to root for anymore because sheās too obsessed with power and thinks she knows more about Bingtown than the people who live there. š² I mean the first two chapters were great and itās not that I donāt want to know about Ronica and Malta, but did Hobb know how desperate I was for any word on Wintrow that she just straight-up named the third chapter after him? Thank you for that! Not that heās doing super great, but thank you. š² Ronica Vestrit is starting to grow on me. The rest of the post will include SPOILERS as they are the thoughts I had while reading the book. Reluctantly he added, āPerhaps they even need it.ā āPerhaps people have a right to their pain,ā he hazarded. You predict your own failure, and by inaction, lock yourself into it.ā āWhen you fear to fail, you fear something that has not happened yet. Look at it, you dolt! Itās trying to tell you what is wrong so you can fix it.ā āDo not pull back from the pain and imagine that makes you strong. Overall, Iām still left with a very positive experience after reading this trilogy. Which was also my complaint about Assassinās Quest, unfortunately. My tiny but still relevant complaint is that I expected more from the ending. Character development truly is the reason to read Hobb, and Iām in awe of what she did here in Liveship Traders.

There was so much action from start to finish, and the characters saw their arcs come to an end.

I finished the Liveship Traders! So much pain has been endured, so many characters have stolen my heart, and Ship of Destiny finally gave me all the answers Iāve been craving.
